Covid Art 6: Botticelli’s Venus rising from a seashell

In 1989 I studied art in Florence. It was magnificent! awesome! wonderful! to be able to be in the presence of so much timeless art in the Uffizi Galleries, in the churches, and in the surroundings. Sandro Botticelli painted the goddess of love and beauty arrive on land from the sea in the mid 1480s and she continues to delight viewers centuries later.
